* 1 cup tur dal – pili
* 1/4 cup white urad dal (split)
* 3 dry red chillies
* 1/2 cup roasted chana dal
* 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
* 18 grams tamarind
* 4 bud garlic
* salt – 1 to taste Teaspoon mustard
* 1 teaspoon white urad dal
* 2 dry red chillies
* 1 sprig curry leaves
* asafetida – a pinch
* oil

1. To make Andhra Style Kandi Pachadi, first heat oil in a pan.
2. Add tur dal, cumin seeds and cook till it becomes light brown.
3. Now add urad dal and dry red chillies and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
4. Turn off the gas and allow this mixture to cool.
5. Add tamarind, garlic, some water and grind it in a mixer grinder.
6. Take out in a bowl.
7. Now heat the oil in a tempering light in the tempering.
