* 1/2 cup green moong dal – soaked for 3 hours
* 2 cups fenugreek – finely chopped
* 2 tomatoes – finely chopped
* 1 onion – thinly sliced
* 4 green chillies – chopped
* 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
* 1 Teaspoon ginger – grated
* 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
* 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
* 3/4 teaspoon coriander powder
* 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
* asafoetida – a pinch
* 2 tablespoons oil
* 1/2 cup Water
### Step-by-Step Instructions to Make Moong Dal Methi Ki Sabzi (Recipe in Hindi):
1. To make Moong Dal Methi vegetable, first heat oil in a pan.
2. Add cumin seeds and let it cook for 10 seconds.
3. After 10 seconds, add green chillies, asafoetida and let it cook for a few seconds, now add onions and cook till the onions become soft.
4. After the onion becomes soft, add ginger, tomatoes and let it cook for 2 minutes.
5. Now add moong dal, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cook for 1 minute.
6. Now add 1/2 cup of water, salt and mix it all.
7. Cover the pan and let it cook for 7 to 8 minutes.
8. Add the fenugreek and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
9. Serve hot.
10. Serve fenugreek moong dal with Rajasthani kadhi and phulka for dinner.
